About the club

Norton Archers is a friendly, dynamic club on Teesside with members who shoot for both pleasure and competition. We were named Club of the Year at the Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council Club, Volunteer and Coach Awards 2011 within our first year of existence, and continue to go from strength to strength; in March 2013 we were presented with our first national award, the ontarget Innovation in Archery Award, and in May 2014 our Head Coach Dave Kelsey received the ontarget Volunteer of the Year Award!

We are open to all archers who are Archery GB affiliated members (please email to let us know if you want to come along to a session and bring your Archery GB card with you), and if you would like to take up archery for the first time we also run 5-session beginners’ courses; these are a requirement to coach you in shooting safely before joining any archery club. More information on the courses can be found on our beginners’ page, including the process for registering your interest in taking a course with us.

We shoot at Norton Sports Charity. If you would like to ask anything about the club please feel free to contact us, or we’d love for you to visit us. It may be worth checking the FAQs page before reaching out; we have dozens of members and our committee members are all volunteers so although we are very happy to answer any specific queries you may have to help you out it would also really help us out if you check that your question hasn’t already been answered there!
