Club Sessions

Please note that the information below relates to our sessions for club members and guests who are members of Archery GB.

If you're new to archery then you'll need to do a beginners' course before being able to shoot at any archery club (more information on this can be found on our beginners page).

If you're an Archery GB member who wishes to shoot with us as a guest, please let our Secretary, Nicola, know by email at so we can make sure there's someone available to greet you properly and also so we can let you know if there are any upcoming novelty shoots or competitions on in place of our normal sessions. Please bring your Archery GB card along whenever you shoot with us, and please also note that all-carbon arrows are not permitted for outdoor sessions - we shoot on a field which is used for other sporting activities and need to find all missing arrows with our trusty metal detector!

Where We Shoot
All of our club sessions take place at Norton Sports Charity, Station Road, Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 1PE. Our indoor sessions are in the Avery Cricket Centre (please follow the photo directions on the Contact Us page to find it, as there are other buildings on the sports complex!), and in the outdoor season we shoot on the field behind the cricket centre (just go through the back room of the building) or occasionally on the field over the railway line (please park in the car park in front of the cricket centre and cross the footbridge).

When We Shoot
October to December (indoors): Tuesday (5pm-8pm), Thursday (5pm-8pm) and Sunday (1pm-5pm)
January to March (indoors): Tuesday (5pm-8pm), Saturday (2pm-5pm) and Sunday (1pm-5pm)
April to September (outdoors): Wednesday (5pm-8pm/dark), Friday (5pm-8pm/dark) and Sunday (1pm-5pm)
